Cookie Notice
Version 2026-09-09 · In effect from 9 September 2026
This notice lists everything DetailHub stores on your device. It is a short list, and it is complete.
1. The short version
We use a small number of cookies that are strictly necessary to sign you in and keep the service secure, plus one browser storage key that remembers whether you chose light or dark mode.
There are no analytics, advertising, profiling or social media cookies on this site, and no third-party trackers of any kind. Because everything we store is strictly necessary for a service you asked for, we do not show a consent banner — under UK and EU cookie rules, consent is not required for this category. If we ever add anything that is not strictly necessary, we will ask first, and refusing will be as easy as accepting.
2. Cookies we set
All of these are set by DetailHub itself. None are readable by another website, and none are shared with anyone.
| Name | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|
authjs.session-token__Secure-authjs.session-token | Keeps you signed in. Without it you would have to enter your password on every page. The __Secure- version is the one used over HTTPS. | 30 days, or when you sign out |
authjs.csrf-token__Host-authjs.csrf-token | Protects against cross-site request forgery — stops another site submitting forms as you. | When you close the browser |
authjs.callback-url__Secure-authjs.callback-url | Remembers the page to return you to after signing in. | When you close the browser |
3. Other browser storage
| Key | Where | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
theme | Local storage | Remembers whether you chose light, dark or system appearance, so the page does not flash the wrong one while loading. It never leaves your browser and is not sent to us. |
4. Third parties
Stripe sets its own cookies inside the payment form when you enter a card, for fraud prevention and to make the form work. Those are strictly necessary to take a payment you asked us to take, and they are governed by Stripe's own privacy policy. We do not embed any other third-party content — no fonts, scripts, maps, videos or buttons loaded from other companies.
5. Controlling cookies
Every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies in its settings. Because ours are strictly necessary, blocking them means you will not be able to sign in — the service cannot work without knowing who you are. Signing out removes the session cookie, and clearing your browser's storage removes the theme preference.
6. More information
What we do with personal information more generally is set out in our Privacy Notice. Questions about this notice go to neilnainani@gmail.com.
